Living room dilema....Need Ideas Please x
I have recently decorated my home to grey and white, I have created my own projects, but I feel it's still too bland and missing something...I fancy a splash of colour (
teal/duck egg)
1. I do want to change the flooring to wood but carpet feels more homely to me...
2. Maybe change the voiles to day and night blinds?

Comments (22)Hubby doesn't like the patterned one Kerry. His preference is to have the chimney breast in red and the rest in something plain like below for the alcoves and other walls. Would welcome your thoughts.Also we are planning an electric insert fire on chimney breast and have posted a separate question on that. Comments (3)Hi Jade. The room is small and it is also the walkway to the back f the house, which further obstruct its functionality. If you are keen to keep the living room separated from the kitchen, then your furniture layout is probably the only way to go. I would advise you to consider taking down the wall to the kitchen and create an open plan. It will make the space feel spacious and you might even consider a different layout: Place the kitchen at the rear on the right wall, place your lounge on the opposite wall facing the kitchen, put a room-dividing furniture in between with the TV inside and place the dining table where the lounge is now. You can get a really contemporary looking comfortable space.
