where is this amazing flooring from?

In your experience are people happy having timber flooring in kitchens? I mean after they have lived with it for a while. This looks great anyway

Mylands. You always regret your economies. I've repainted this kitchen 4X over the years, and last time was in Dulux which wore so poorly. Just custom mixed a new vibrant duck egg to paint my kitchen in marble matt walls, eggshell woodwork, and floor paint. Mylands matched impeccably. It was a dream of coverage, and looks spectacular. The quality of the pigment shows, looks the money, nothing like synthetic mediocre pigments in cheaper paint. It's a big improvement.

This small,l two-room flat in Brighton&Hove, has undergone a complete renovation, originally untouched since 1974, walls have been removed and re-positioned, kitchen moved - just about everything that could be done to squeeze as much out of the limited space. A couple of shots showing the chaos of renovation! And now a few 'After' shots. In fact the flat recently won, for it's Architect/designer duo, a 'Highly Commended' in the Sussex Heritage, architecture awards.

I would put the large chesterfield facing the window (where the grey fabric chair is) and have the fabric chair at an angle in the bay (facing the fire place) with a table next to it. Move the TV from above the fireplace - I think a TV above such a lovely fire detracts from it. You could put it on the opposite wall where the small two seater leather chesterfield is. (Do you need to keep all three seats?) Put a table in front of the fire place so it brings the furniture together, making it a comfortable space rather than a waiting room feel. If you do keep the TV where it is (and keeping all chairs) I would situate the chairs closer around the fireplace as photo show above. And put a free standing unit on the small wall. Keep the wall colour light so the room is flooded with light. Look forward to seeing the end photos. Shannon
