Mind the Gap

HI my request to leave an equal distance when putting on the feature wallpaper was denied. Any clever suggestions to make it look like the gap is deliberate. better still how to make a feature of an unwanted feature :)

This mural looks lovely. You could try painting a border/frame in a dark tone to complement the colours in the mural. The dark tone would look more deliberate and considered than a lighter one. If you are creative you could try a decorative frame, something like a picture frame.

Thank you, I lI've it. It's so out there it has to be spit on. In the end the decorator removed it and I've re-ordered :(

Soap operas, Strictly and I'm a celebrity get me out of here! The way we put ourselves down and don't take ourselves too seriously (typical misunderstood British humour). We recently had new fence panels in part of the garden and the fitter added gravel boards at the bottom. They are available at most diy and timber merchants, if you can find any open! He did create a hole in one board for hedgehogs to gain access into our garden. You can get them in wood or concrete. However any strips of wood will do the job.

I have a few loose oak shelves around like this and I think they tend to look best without mastic. It can really just draw attention to the edges, whereas with a cut edge if looks crisp. A few strategically placed plants will help.

Not sure about the gaps but I have LVT and there are certainly no gaps in mine and I wouldn’t have been happy with them especially bearing in mind that I use a steam cleaner to clean it which would mean the steam would go into the gaps.
