Need help for my kitchen
Comments (7)If you want a more integrated country look, have your kitchen professionally spray painted in a pale grey or white after rehanging the wall units so that they are all level. Replace the light pelmet to something plainer. The worktop around the sink has gone quite dark from the constant presence of water. Consider having all the tops replaced with oak to coordinate with your floor. Wood knobs or pewter handles will complete the cabinetry. Remove the tiles and replace with patchwork tiles to give you more colour. Make sure you pick up the cabinet colour and the floor colour in the tiles. http://www.toppstiles.co.uk/tprod44324/batik-patchwork-blue-tile.html Paint the remaining walls with a pale colour to keep the room light....See MoreNeed help with flooring fr my new kitchen/dining/sitting room
Comments (6)Marble would still work well in all those areas - luxurious and dramatic! A couple of points to take care with: - Take care if you're option for high gloss, as they can be slippery when wet - If you're opting for a very "white" marble (Carrara or some such), be prepared for it to show every dirty mark and need regular cleaning. If your lifestye can cope with this great - if you have three labrodors and live in a pair of Hunter wellies, I'd urge caution.......See MoreNeed Help for my Floor option
Comments (7)Hi there, difficult to comment from a "cultural" point of view - assuming there are no particular cultural constraints, then I think parquet can work in most places, though I personally would never use it in a bathroom and would urge caution in a kitchen, primarily because of the higher risk of standing water. If you love the look of real wood and don't want the harshness of tiles in the kitchen or bathroom, then perhaps you could also consider a product such as Karndean palioclic. While these are synthetic products, they are specifically designed for wet environments, and some of the wood effect finishes are really effective - I have many customers who don't believe me when I tell them it is not real wood! And it comes with a lifetime guarantee in a residential setting, so will last well. If you have a look at the Karndean website, they have some really excellent tools to show you how different rooms will look with all the dozens of different finishes. Comments (12)Hi again appydaysdevon Taking your original ideas and wallpaper choice into consideration, I have created you a colour scheme for your kitchen. I would paint all your walls with Dulux Just Walnut to give the kitchen a fresh, neutral base. Then paint your window wall with Dulux Pebble Shore. Having the darker shade on this window will add depth and create the perfect back drop for your dark navy blind. You could always dip paint your barstools to add extra colour and personality, as shown in the image below: I would recommend you buy tester pots of the colours first, and try them out in your space and make sure you are truly happy with them before going ahead and purchasing the full tins. Good luck and please let me know how it all goes. Rebecca Davis Dulux Design Expert www.designer.duluxamazingspace.co.uk...See MoreHeena Thaker
