Living room wallpaper / toybox / decoration ideas??
Comments (7)Hi there! I offer an affordable E-Design service that could help you create a space you love, I have lots of wallpaper suppliers that I'm sure we can use to find the ideal look for you. I'm also very experienced in incorporating toy storage into living spaces (as a mum of a toddler!), send me a message if you'd like some further information on how the service works and pricing :) Take Care Natalie...See MoreLiving room decor ideas
Comments (7)True greys made with white and black are very difficult to live with but the Grey paints available have a different quality such as brown, red or blue. So Grey could be just right..... you just have to get the right neutral. Given that you have a mink sofa I would be looking at the Farrow and Ball website to find a match and look at their suggestions for colour combinations. I suspect the sofa will sit comfortably next to setting plaster, Elephants Breath or skimming stone. The last contributor showed images that at least on my screen seem to illustrate that some contrast helps make the room look sophisticated and an accent such as the pink shown sit well with a neutral with a red quality....See MoreLiving room decor ideas
Comments (5)Hi, thanks all for your input! Here are some examples of recent projects we've done To be honest, I don't think there's anything in the lounge we'll be keeping, apart from maybe some art! We're looking at starting from scratch. Your suggestion with the layout minnie is pretty much what I was thinking, a corner sofa, or 2 sofas in same shape, where the current brown sofas are. We've actually already bought the units for the tv and I'm keen to use it all as we don't have much storage for books etc. This is the layout, although the colours are much nicer in real life! I was planning on painting the door but hadn't thought about wall colour - do you think that would be better than white? I'm planning on replacing the skirtings with deeper, nicer ones. I'd like to put at least one armchair in front of the window if they fit. I don't think we'll bother getting spotlights as I think it'll be nice with lots of lamps - maybe a tripod one and a couple of table ones? We obviously need a side table and coffee table/nest &footstool and eventually I'd like a piano on the back wall behind the sofa... Maybe you are right about sticking with the dfs sofa - it's comfy but also grown up. I do like the velour fabric though - do you think an armchair in that fabric would match at all?! I'd like to introduce yellow and maybe teal in the armchairs and/or accessories....See MoreLiving room layout and decoration... NO idea what to do! Help!
Comments (8)Hello Celia Reis, Lots to think about... It does not matter what you have but where you place it to make it work. And what is there that make the room become one (sounds very yoda ) :) How about putting the sofa by the window. The box where the sofa was. See what that looks like? The side table in between the sofa and the chair. Add some shelving to the alcoves. Re: photos There are lots of photo places that will make photos much larger for a portrait. Group pictures together on the shelf or on the side table. You do not need to space everything out. Some questions: 1.What colour are the walls ? 2.What colours do you like ? Is there a favourite material you like that can be made into a paint colour or made into some cushions. Then use the colour throughout as accents. 3. What items did you want to repurpose? What colour ? 4. Can the cabinet fit in the alcove? 5. Does the fireplace work? 6. Do you have any larger pictures, photos ? 7. Are both lamps the same size ? What are they to be the same colour ? 8. Will there be a TV in the room ? Some pics to help. Are there any elements in these pics that help? So change the placement of furniture like in the pictures. Put everything you want in the room and play around with them. Have fun:...See MoreCorinne Natel Art Ltd
