Botanicals for sure, then pair it with the Pantone Colour of the year "Greenery", so fresh!

I also voted for Botanicals. It can be linked with any colour at all, simply what you prefer. We should not be slaves to interior fashion. We should dare to be different, be more confident in your own taste.

I agree with Sherbert I think we'll see even more metals. I also think more marble, including the rougher version, is it called leathered? In terms of textiles, I think we'll see lots of different knits. They have hit the clothes shops and you are starting to see more and more in interiors. From a personal perspective I would love concrete sinks etc and antiqued mirrors to really take off so the prices would come down!

Muted tartans and plaids. Subtle, with historic precedence, or at least an updated pattern with a nod to the "original". Younger people, in particular, are longing for a sense of history and nostalgia in their design, albeit with an irreverent streak!

Yes I'm not keen on "trends". It's rather like clothes that everyone is wearing, but look dated after one season. Decor and clothing are so much better if classic in style. Never goes out of fashion and you can keep them for years. Hate this obsession with grey decor - overdone and so boring.

Funny you say 'bring some nature back to city homes'. Not for me, I live in the countryside, I don't need to make my house look like a garden. I'd turn in the opposite direction from 'Botanicals'.

I agree with Forzaitalia, moorish mosaics. I will finally get my dream kitchen in 2017 in a new extension and I will have some much coveted zellige as a backsplash <3

I don't like any of them particularly. Patterns need careful handling and whole walls of it are usually ghastly. I learned long ago to add interest and texture with easily replaced accessories.

Designer Henry Holland revealed his ambition to bring back the 70’s jungle for his designs at Habitat. Rich purples and deep greens are an excellent way of creating high drama and we are seeing our clients opt for this in their contemporary bathrooms.
