Nice! I like Groningen, have some great friends from there. I bought my kitchen from keuken kampioen. So I don't give it a bad name. . . since my original post, customer service has really gone out of their way to see if there is something they could do. The cabinet shape I chose is in the example on the front page. Of course mine are magnolia and not white. Great pots! I think it's a great idea to have them on either side of your front door, it will make it feel very regal! What you put in them depends completely on the style of your house/front garden. The classic option would be ball topiaries like bay trees and you can then add more colourful flowers or plants at its base that overflow a little like this: I would definitely not paint the pots though. And if you go for an "overflow" option I would try to keep it mild so it doesn't totally hide the shape of the shape of the pots as they look nice. Hope that helps! Anthony.

HI, yes agree, 2 or three pendants depending on the size over the peninsula, those Broadway Emery Vintage Mini pendant lights are good as they're only 20cm across. You'd need larger for the dining table. The Artisan Lamp holder with braided flex is just a pendant fitting that you have to put a shade on, so it wouldn't work unless you can find a shade that you like. Still best to go for items from the same range, You need a pendant light fitting for the dining room in the range of 300mm to 500mm wide depending on how wide and long the table is really. Regards the spots, keep those on the kitchen light switch as a separate entity, so on or off, and have separate spurs for your dining room and the island so that you can dim them and have them on or off without the kitchen lights. Make sure, as i said earlier that you buy dimmable switches and dimmable bulbs.

Agree with Sonia some pics of the garden will help where you intend to have the pots. Do you want something that looks good all year round, something with flowers etc. ? The bigger the pot the better as they’ll retain more water but they still need more regular maintenance than plants in the ground. I like the glazed ceramic pots although as Sonia says they can sometimes chip or crack with frost but this rarely happens. Local garden centres might have a good selection and Homebase usually have some good ones. Couple of plants which I think are good for south facing are agapanthus, these love being pot bound and should be flowering now depending where you are. And chrysanthemums (or Pot mums), not everyone’s cup of tea but they’re quite happy in a pot forever, green growth nearly all year round, flowers in in November/December (when most other plants have died back) and only needs the dead flowers trimming back when they’ve gone brown. Lavender will be quite happy as well in dry situations but can go woody after a while so would need replacing every few years. There’s lots more we can suggest so let us know your preferences.
