Pendant light statement pieces

Am I overdoing the statement lights. The room is 6.4m by 4.5m and I have chosen this light over the dining table but would quite like 3 lights over the island. I just don't want it to look too busy!!

I was thinking of something like black pendants to complement the dining table light.

Hi Sadiya,

Here are few suggestions that might work well with the light you have chosen.

For a minimalist look that would match the geometric design you have chosen I'd suggest exposed bulbs. The Black Braided Cable & Vintage 6 Watt LED Clear Diamond Light Bulb would compliment the pendant light and not look too overwhelming.

1 Light Industrial Diner Ceiling Pendant - Bronze would also be a good choice. You can add decorative globe bulbs to match the look of your central light.

Finally you could go for a copper pendant as the light you have chosen has copper elements. 1 Light Copper Dome Ceiling Pendant - Copper would be a very contemporary choice featuring hammered copper shade and black light cable.

I guess the photo isn't great in terms of giving ideas on dimensions as you can see the tv perfectly from the sofa (it's on a swivel). We have the decor sorted too with regards to art and mirrors, like I said, we only just finished fitting it so not everything is up yet....give us a chance! :) We have now got some pendant lights that look perfect so thanks for all comments but help is no longer needed xx

I don't think the layout would really allow that with it being a pretty compact living/dining area. The 2nd light could possibly be extended to sit over the dining area, but not without getting an electrician in and right now I just don't have the time/budget for it. The balcony table set there is a stand in for the dining table which will be this.

Fair point about cleaning Lucy. We have a bubble chandelier in our bedroom and I read a suggestion that using a hairdryer on the cool setting is a way to get the dust of. Ours have not been up that long and so far dust isn’t an issue, I’ve used the dryer once and flicked a feather duster around them. Not sure how they would be in a kitchen, given the potential for grease in the air. When we hung ours I wore a pair of cotton gloves and will probably wear them to wipe each globe from time to time. But they are spectacular and every evening when I turn the on, I feel great joy!

Here are a few we've done for inspiration. You can have all of the pendants the same colour or you can mix it up. And if you don't want to go for all black you have another colour with a black trim like the second photo. Good luck! And post some photos when you've decided. Hi I really like your light that you have chosen to go over the dining yable, as long as the room is not too busy so that this lighting feature makes a real statement

Also because of the triangular shapes around the bulb fittings I think that the diamond light bulb and black flex suggested by litecraft would compliment the light and would look fantastic! Look no further!
