Can you tell me the colours used to paint units and walls please?

The cabinet paint colours were mixed by us and the walls were Farrow & Ball Skimming Stone. Best wishes, Alison.

Hi there! I like the tiles! May be your temptation to paint the whole place white is a good idea. I think Vanilla White from Dulux will look nice and bright up the space. Your can use cobalt carpet for staircase and you have plenty of possibilities to be original with art or pictures and accessories.

I'm in Northern Ireland and used Dee Light Furniture Facelifts NI. He has a Facebook page with lots of photos of his work showing lots of colours so its worth a look there. His standard of work is excellent and came highly recommended by word of mouth. He also builds this tear drop caravans to order! I think it was worth paying someone as he made our existing doors and drawers look brand new filling the holes from the old handles. We could never have done that to his standard

Yes fascias = doors and drawer fronts and any end panels. Find a local supplier who can supply cut and edged board. That’s the cheapest method. They buy in the board, cut to size, and edge it on specific machinery, then drill in the hinge hole positions. You could look on the Egger and Kronospan websites for colours. Thousands to choose from all at different prices. I wouldn’t put Fablon on the worktop. It will end up getting cut and damaged. Regardless of the fact that you’re supposed to use a chopping board, many don’t and they also place hot saucepans on a worktop which again is something you shouldn’t do. If they do this on Fablon it will just melt it away and then you’ll be left with one huge messy worktop. Either replace the worktops with cheap ones or leave them as they are if they’re not too bad.

It depends on what else you have in the room, the sofa colours etc. It looks to be a really nice room with some lovely features. Personally, I wouldn't paint it all a blue or a dark colour as East facing rooms can be gloomy on an afternoon. Have a look on instagram, there is a total shift away from dark interiors towards more neutral warmer ones. Not that this matters, but perhaps a year of lockdown has made a difference to what people want to live with.
