All our mirrors are made to order this particular one measured 1600 x 1150mm, It cost £479.00, If you would like it making to a specific size please let us know. Delivery for a mirror this size would be £75

Hello, You are right, you could have a mirror on the wall to make your space look bigger and brighter or why not hang framed photos? Your conversion also depends on Styles you like or how you wish to combine them. For example I very much like Scandinavian style or Rustic combined with Contemporary Style. Which are your favourites? I love them. From genuine antique mirrors to the new antique style splashbacks or tile effect. I have a bricked up arch window at the end of my hall which I'd love to have antiqued glass cut to fit but sadly out of budget atm. I also love the antique style splashbacks similar to the award winning mowlems kitchen design (not quite so keen on the pic above) but I'm really not convinced it will work in my kitchen. I recently bought an antique dressing table which has a very aged looking mirror, looks great but you can't actually see in it properly!

Thanks everyone for your recommendations/advice. I definitely want a mirror facing the kitchen so you can see the kitchen from both sides as you enter the space. I'm not having a dining table facing the kitchen as I have a dining area just before you enter the new kitchen extension. I was planning having some sort of seating area though and will have bar stools at the breakfast bar. I just can't seem to find what I want and have been struggling finding a suitable mirror to face the kitchen. This Next silver pewter mirror I've bought is 1.2m by 0.8m and I was planning to hang it landscape but you have all recommended hanging it above the fireplace ;-). I wonder if you have any ideas of what sort of mirror (colour, style etc) would therefore look better on the wall facing the kitchen. Thanks again all - much appreciated.

Thanks again Colour happy I will do as you advise and yes it does make sense. We've had comments that the fireplace is too big for the room and gap above should be bigger aaaaargh -a bit disappointing as a lot of money was spent. However we love it and that's all that matters.
