Need help with a bedroom and walk through wardrobe

The bedroom goes through a walk in wardrobe to the bathroom. Would it look bad if the wardrobe was painted a different colour to the bedroom?

No but I'd want it to tone and not be completely different.

We are just about to start on our master bedroom which will have a walk through wardrobe going into the en suite. I'm using the same curtains for consistency but the bedroom will be wallpapered whereas the dressing room will be painted.

Rather than treating the 3 rooms as separate entities think as them as your private space as one. The entrance to the "wardrobe" is too geometric. Consider a wall decal (see image to break the rectangle. You have muted colours throughout.

Rather than painting consider (room permitting) a mirror that makes a statement for dressing and make-up/hair etc. Maybe introduce a small console table in front of mirror to store your "essentials" (again space permitting). Then use the opposite wall area to hang clothes on rails and in sea-grass baskets store you other items.

Think about introducing mood LED system with lighting that changes colour or remains static related to your mood! In the good old days lighting was done with ultra violet and infra red as they were considered ideal for healthy complexions (but we know what has happened since).

Maybe coming from left field but food for thought hopefully

We've just had new sliding sash windows put in and our bedroom ones have arched tops. The fitter routed MDF to fit around the windows and then edged in wood. I have used Leyland Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat. Sanded down before starting and in-between coats. So far I have applied 2 coats applied with synthetic bristle brushes from Screwfix and the finish looks almost complete. I think i will apply 2 top coats of Leyland Trade Acrylic Eggshell. Both of these paints are water based so dry quickly and easy to clean the brushes afterwards. This is the first time I have painted MDF and so far I am really pleased. You must wear a mask when you sand the MDF and hoover the dust from all the surfaces before painting. Ideas for en suite/walk in wardrobe space in Bedroom

Hello Leesh, It sounds like you rather like the idea of an en-suite and so I would perhaps suggest you go with it, rather than do one thing and then re-do it later. You mention the house has one single loo.. So would this mean presumably that you would also then situate a loo downstairs? If so perhaps you might consider turning the loo into a small wet room style shower room.. A wall hung loo and small sink would give you enough room for a small shower room fully tanked of course as they are lovely. If there is a bathroom with bath for example elsewhere on the upper levels then it could be one way of dealing with this smaller space.. Alternatively you may prefer to have a walk in closet.. Mind you.. If the bedroom is large enough you may be able to incorporate a walk in closet in the room itself.. I'm elaborating on your initial dilemma, but it may help you to decide just what you need and where exactly.. : ))

By the sounds of it, any neutral colours will work well - cream, beige ect. You could also add a pop of yellow if you're looking to brighten up the space a bit!
