Wow...there is a lot of chat about this sink...I see it as simple as ...change it and put the right one in....end of saga....I would not be bringing in another option of a basin in here ....the original on is causing enough commotion. As for the clear gluey stuff ...that is silicone and that comes off of the tiles without a problem but you want to make sure that the pedestal of the original basin is smaller than the new one or you could end up with it not covering the tile line that this one had.....stick with the original....then there is no cost to you ....change it and it will cost you I would think...I would also put a smaller mirror about the size of the inner mirror without the framed edge... as I said previously as I believe that it is overshadowing this basin and will look even bigger with a small basin. What I would do is to put a piece of paper up on the wall and make it the size of your mirror currently and see if you like the size and then drop the size of the paper and see which is better. Hope you get this sorted soon...it is your bathroom and you need to decide before you get even more suggestions... hope this helps

It has not yet been "released" by Hansgrohe/Axor. It is thought it will be available in March. Nobody has a price yet but we expect it to be at least £700-£800. As for the colour I know there will be a white version too. But that will spoil the fact you can see the vortex of water. Later this year there may well be some alternative metal finishes like nickel or copper, but at additional cost.

Hi so this is what I had in mind. Although it ideal I think it would be too expensive for now to remove that lone cupboard. So an idea would be; 1. Paint the walls white 2. Paint the cupboards pale grey: http://www.farrow-ball.com/paint/Paint-For-Kitchen-Cupboards 3. Get nice oak laminate floor from Homebase or B&Q 4. It may cost between £200 and £300 to fit the floor with underlay. But totally worth it. 5. Cheap grey sofa (maybe not corner sofa) or second hand sofa, max those dimensions on the plan. I bought two cheap ones from Homebase for our back room and they're totally fine. 6. Farmhouse table with bench / Eiffel chairs 7. Tv bench and side table from ikea 8. Hi Chloe. I can't design for toffee (nor is to scale etc!) however it might give your thread a bump for those that can:) Personally I would probably employ Karen at OnePlan to design the whole space! Hopefully the plan is self-explanatory but i might look at banquette seating with shelves and conceal a tv over the banquette bench (should be about the right viewing height!). For others to help it might help to give more details. I assume from the plan that you have a separate living room so maybe sofas aren't the priority? It also looks as if you want a study area? What type of oven (and hob) and how many do you want? Do you want a sink or hob on the island? I'm assuming the log burner is to go in the existing chimney breast? Is the room to contain utilities? Do you want a microwave, wine fridge etc? I can see a concealed tv in your ideabook so assume that's on the list? Do you want a pantry/breakfast cabinet etc? How many is dining to seat? If you speak to someone like Karen they will ask lots more questions so as to design the space specifically for your family!
