Hi there, not too sure where this exact one is from but ourMarquis by Waterford - Foyle LED 8 Light Bathroom Ceiling Pendant - Chrome is similar in design.

Hi Obo1, Thank you for your comment. The pendant Lampshade was supplied by Trinity Interior Designs and can be ordered through them, they are here on Houzz. It is 700mm in diameter and in the region of £800. Hope that helps !

Hi. As you mention you use this room a lot in summer why not bring the garden in a little. Maybe a feature ŵallpaper, you could go for a modern floral but some of the trellis style wallpapers would also look nice. I'd go for something with some soft/pastel green with a pale background. Add cushions and throws to the sofas in lighter shades ie cream and beiges and then if you keep to soft green you can mix in most other colours but use lots of texture. Has the carpet been changed? Perhaps a wood floor with a sisal rug again for some texture. A sunburst mirror is always good in a room for a summer feel along with flowers and plants. Do you also have room for table lamps and a floor lamp? Other pics of the room would be good to see if you could perhaps reuse some of your existing pieces, even if painted? If you could also give an idea of your style it would help as I can see you haven't set up an Ideabook. Agree with Bagpuss re desk and chair

Hi Jan, I'm no expert but happen to be planning a turquoise colour scheme for my bedroom and have a few ideas to share. The easiest solution might be to just paint the bedside lockers a light turquoise or even a deep teal. Ikea has the light turquoise version of your bedside lockers for inspiration: Get rid of the wall lamps as you said, and ditch the office blinds & the light blue curtains. Maybe some deep teal curtains with a fine white mesh net curtain or some white venetian blinds behind the teal curtains? Keep the lamps, bedspread & blue & white pillows. The painting is a bit bland but might look better without the black corner brackets. Here is a room on Pinterest that looks similar: Best of luck!

Consider, as Catia suggests, the setting/style of the room. It is an important decision. There are times when the lighting will need to be bright and other times when its not needed, so dimmable options are always a good idea. You might also need matching or co-ordinating bedside lights, but these don't necessarily need to be the traditional style: an on-trend look is to suspend long pendants down over the cabinets to release space for example.

Hello Lisa, yes, hanging something low over your bed can affect your mood, sleep, etc., and that includes structures like wooden beams. You wondered what kind of lighting would be recommended for a small bedroom from a Feng Shui point of view. How you ‘dress’ your bedroom is very important as about a third of your life is spent there. Soft lighting in the right place is key as strong or harsh lighting is too stimulating and can cause insomnia, etc. Lighting in the ceiling above a bed is said to increase mental stress, affect the endocrine system and lead to insomnia, bad dreams, respiratory problems, etc. The best solution is to have that area of ceiling totally clear with one or two floor or table lamps near your bed producing soft lighting. If you already have the electrics in place for a ceiling lamp, you could always have a ceiling fan there instead as that is a lovely feature anyway for a bedroom. Some Feng Shui practitioners say that a combined ‘light and fan’ in the ceiling is ok as the movement of the blades soften the harshness of the light. There are lots of other tips for bedrooms like ensuring your door does not face a mirror, and having as few electric appliances as possible in the room (e.g., phones, TVs and other gadgets), etc. Joy
