What material are the curtains? Do you know the name? Are they very sheer

would you recommend less transparent if you have smaller windows. I have a patio door and a window and i want to cover the whole wall.

Your room is looking lovely and light. You haven't mentioned if you are reusing your red sofa again or changing the furniture. The heading that you choose is a reflection of the style you're trying to create. Eyelets are fine if you never close the curtains and want a very contemporary look, but cartridge pleats would look plush and more transitional. I'm assuming from the previous comments that you intend to use a pole. You will need to take it to the left hand wall, but leave wall showing on the right since your patio doors are not symmetrically placed. You can use a chunky pole 50-60mm diameter and a WOW finial. Use interlining for a luxurious look. The curtains will be dearer but will last longer, especially if your doors face south. If you do want to use silk, select a wide contrasting cotton border on the leading edges to deal with fading.

Paint a white A4 sheet of paper with a few coats of your paint, ensuring it's thoroughly dried. Hold up to the wall to make sure you've got a good match, if not, add a little more paint. Then take the paper shopping with you when you go to choose curtains.

I tend to prefer long curtains personally as well but if you think that brushing past them would annoy you then I’d go for short. Roman blinds could be an option as well if they will tuck under the pelmet, I do feel that you’d need a double layer approach with perhaps a roller blind in the window to block out the light tho. You could always ask the curtain maker to include curtain weights in the bottom. This would help to make the fabric hang a lot straighter. Of course this does depend on what type of fabric you choose. A thick woven wool or chenille for example (something you might use for cushions or upholstery) will have a lot more bulk and stick out more. Synthetic materials such as nylon and polyester tend to drape better because of the smooth weave. Thank you! We're thinking wallpaper in the alcoves (they aren't very deep) Dark blue on the chimney wall and wall opposite. Then green on the two other walls. Including the window wall. I've added the green picture you suggested and really like it. Also tried mustard but VERY concerned the wrong shade might look sickly against the greens. Do you think this teal works ? As it's a mix of blue and green?

Then it is nice to connect it with one transparent curtain and maybe add not transparent curtains on sides (in color of the wall? beige? something neutral) to reconnect it all.. on the picture I attach are windows that are short and also long to floor connected with one long curtain as you can see..
