Radiator help!

We are in the process of buying a house which specialises in enormous, cheap looking radiators.. and lots of them. Some of the rooms have 2 or 3 radiators, in an incredible variety of (awful) styles and up to 2.5 meters long. Quite crazy. Anyhow, we'd like to gradually replace them for something a little more aesthetically pleasing. Sadly I don't think underfloor heating will be in the budget, so do any of you houzzers have any good sources for reasonably priced, but not so ugly radiators? Or good tips on hiding them?
For ref - the house is a 1960s house but we're not tied to any one particular style of decoration - we'll have everything from antiques to mid century to ultra modern furniture in there.
