What brand and color of shingle?

Apologies for the repost - my first had the question cut off. Seeking a similar color roof shingle for a shingle home in McLean, VA

This is a 50 year asphalt roof by Heritage Tamko -- the color is Rustic Slate.

Hello comgetme, Good to hear! Well of all my accounts (over 25 and growing) I always like fewer rather than the whole range.. I'm sooper sooper picky! I think if you choose well for the specific requirements they do look amazing.. It's taste in the end.. Also my lovely people I have accounts with send me large samples.. So I stick it on the walls and live with it for a while.. See how it works with other aspects of the room and light changes.. I would suggest this for a client as well and paint.. It needs to be seen in all lights.. For a few that I love.. Zoffany, Cole & Son, Altfield, HoH. I really like the amazing and the less mainstream but really good quality and high end aesthetic is a must..A lot of papers are now paste the wall, which is great and HoH even have markers for cutting so the pattern repeat is already aligned based on a standard wall height. You cut 1, 2, 3, 4 lay them out and away you go.. : ))

Kitchens are a big expense - especially the chairs so I would match them to the units - the set you showed matches the colours of the chairs with the units really well, BUT, 1. The pine top doesn't work and 2. You need to add a bit of pzaz to this space. You can paint or cover the pine top with whatever colours / textures you choose as accents then follow these colours through into the pictures and the odd accessory (but don't go mad and keep most of the kitchen utensils and tools in the same colour as the background so they 'disappear' - only use subtle accent colours on gorgeous items so they stand out). This way, if you get bored with your scheme you can just change the accessories and the table top colour rather than the whole lot. Feel free to email me for more help. Is Crown paint poor quality? If so, what brands offer colour match?

I'm no expert but have done a fair bit of decorating / painting over the years and can't say my experience with Crown emulsion has been very positive. Yes, sometimes quite watery (although I'm not a fan of really thick paints like 'one coat' ones), yes multiple coats needed and not very washable once on the walls. Farrow and Ball is certainly way better in all these respects but exorbitantly expensive. I've had good results with Dulux (although some of the white gloss paints have turned quite yellow) but also with Wickes paints. There are many DIY outlets that offer colour matching. I'm sure you'll get some good pointers here on Houzz
