Hi, I like the decoration bits you put on. I would put a potted plant there which will make it more lively. The console table is elegant, but I would turn it around (the back now would come to the front).You could put a colourful runner. I would cover the fuse switch with a key cupboard (removing the back wall than put it on as a keyholder under the picture. That also brings a litlle bit of life. Maybe a small mirror on the wall where the door is. But nothing more, it would be too cluttered...

Hello Crittee I agree with Sort our Stuff - The centre of the mirror should be positioned at eye level. As people's height varies, I have always had them installed for clients so the centre of the mirror is 1.5mts from the floor. Sometimes on a console table it looks best to have it slightly closer to the table. Here's a few interesting ideas from West Elm. What is the length of your console? If it's around 100cm to 120cm then a 76cm mirror would work. I''d prefer a group of mirrors like this below. The gold frames would work well with your timber work. Maybe your lamp is a little small for this table and a group of vases or ceramics would look better. Or add a round mirror like these two examples not rectangular. Plus add a collection of vases or ceramics if you like a splash of colour as a highlight

I wouldn't move the glass bowl all the way to the right, I'd be frightened of anyone knocking it over. About 2 thirds of the way across seems about right. As for smaller objects there is so much choice, hard to know where start. Might be worth checking out local antique stores, flea markets, eBay etc. Ceramics are always a good bet if you want something colorful. Or maybe something personal to you, photo in a frame, object from travels and so on. Anyway, some inspiration with colors picked from picture.
