Width of this corridor?

Considering a similar tile design for a narrow corridor in our home. Worried that the pattern might make it look too narrow? Here it seems to work quite well. Could you let me know the width of the corridor in the photo?

Working with the existing you will not want to infill the whole courtyard otherwise you'll have vast areas with no natural light and the footprint is in any event plenty large enough for a good sized house. I'd look at glazed corridors down each side connecting front to rear, whilst also giving access to rooms down each side. The likelihood however is that the construction of the stable is very basic and the cost to convert this would be more than building a simple timber framed house, even if following the original form. Assuming Planning allows for this then I'd look into this.

Reading all of this, and in particular redrawing the plans, I am beginning to feel maybe I am guilty of misleading with respect to what goes where. Probably by labeling with the names given by the kitchen supplier. It didn’t seem to matter when I was concerned about rows of units creating a corridor. On my original plan the island unit was shown with six pan drawers, three of them will probably be used for food storage; for things like rice, the three types of flour, the four types of sugar and the pasta that we use regularly. Also things like tinned foods and probably breakfast cereal, tea and coffee. The larder on the other hand will likely be used for storing things like multi-packs of tins and the large packets of rice that get decanted to a container as needed instead of going out to by another small bag. So, looking at all this perhaps my original design does cover all the bases as far as the working triangle / functional areas goes. What does anyone think? Still wondering about that corridor though.

Hello, yes to add a white colour and add mirrors does definitely add to the feeling of light and fresh space. I would not completely remove the artificial light within the corridor. A very nice touch is to use wall lamps, perhaps 4 - 6 in total on the walls. You could have other types of lights, such as 2 - 3 pendants, integrated wall lights, integrated floor lights.
