Help with exterior of 60's house!
Comments (36)Would love to see any photos of the New England style cladding, we have a 1960's house that we are updating and are considering both render and cladding. We are making the top windows deeper and are trying to decide whether to use white or grey aluminium/pvc frames. We have had grey (covered in tape in pic) bifold doors installed but can have these powder coated in white if it is better to stick to white windows. Thank you!...See MoreI need help with Window designs and an exterior colour scheme
Comments (28)I really think you should consider timber. All WWA members have their windows tested against air and water leakage, so there won't be any problems there. They come factory-finished in any RAL colour and can be repainted (outside or inside) whenever you want. And the frames will last twice as long as plastic. I would replicate its original windows, which are beautiful. It's a handsome house - keep its value by keeping its authentic character....See MoreUgly Duckling - Exterior Help
Comments (2)I believe removing pebbledash can leave the wall damaged so you will probably need to cover it with something. I think a smooth render would look nice, either off white or a light blue would look good next to the stone house....See MorePainted pebbledash question
Comments (0)I've just had my exterior painted and I can see black 'holes' into the paint work - see picture. The exterior was sprayed. should I expect this effect? I'm thinking no. Could someone tell me if this is acceptable and if not what has caused it. My initial guess is bubbles from the spray, but wasn't sure if this is an intrinsic issue with pebbledash. Thanks very much!...See Moresamcol13
