Miele integrated washing machine and dryer?
Comments (7)I have a Miele washing machine with another brand tumble dryer over the top of it. We made the tall units deep and wide enough to fit them into. If you just want to have them side by side on the floor make sure you have a deeper worktop to allow for the plumbing and then add a door to give that the integrated look. It's easy to do and cheaper to have freestanding appliances rather than integrated....See MoreDamp/condensation issue
Comments (3)my house is a 1920's semi so it isn't a good comparison with your old farmhouse. We had condensation running down the exterior walls of the all bedrooms , the windows and the stair wall. When we removed the wallpaper, there was black mould! This was despite the house having double glazed windows, GCH , extractors in the bathroom and kitchen and an insulated loft. We had the house rendered, trickle vents put on all the windows and radiators moved to under the windows. All the plaster was blown, so we had this replaced as well. Because the whole house was replastered, I put those plastic moisture traps in every room. I think that this combination has really helped with the condensation, we haven't had any since....See MoreIntegrated Kitchen door opening directions
Comments (11)Strange. It didn't upload. That's it up now. The Fridgefreezer opening that way allows access to both worktops. If I was taking contents from the door it would allow me to place on both worktop. Because it is left of centre I thought it be better opening on left? Maybe not? If it opened on the right from this position it is kind of forcing you to use the left hand work surface? Also if I put the shopping on the floor in between the larder and the fridge to pack food away I can easily have fridge door and larder doors open and just pop things in. If it was right hinged I would have to step around the door. Am I overthinking this yet?! LOL The living room is off to the right with french doors so you would be opening the contents and light to the living room and whoever is in there too. Have a wee look sure and let me know your thoughts :-) Much appreciated!...See MoreHelp, condensation between timber and insulation
Comments (1)Hi my question is why is water tracking into the house via the screws in the plywood. it suggests there is a problem in the render as water shouldn't penetrate this to get to the screw. it could be condensation caused by cold bridging with hit meeting the cold exterior temperature. you should have a breather membrane and proper designed wall. interstitial condensation is where condensation occurs in the structure and needs to be designed to occur in the right place. if you get this worked out you wont have long term issues. Did you use a construction professional to help or did the builder just decide in the detail. get some solid advise from a surveyor before putting any insulation in to safeguard the integrity of the building. sorry to sound negative, but you need to make sure your wall system is correct. best Rowland...See MoreVictoria
