Comments (7)We would recommend using quartz worksurfaces as these are much more hardwearing and stain resistant and you get a much broader choice of finishes and colours. As quartz is manmade you can easily match tiles and splashbacks and you can also have matching quartz splashbacks as an option. Some quartz surfaces also include a built in anti-bacterial protection. Comments (10)I had light coloured tiles on my floor. As the floor was part wood and part solid, all the grouting cracked and came out. Also, the light colour showed up every mark and they stained. Originally I had dark coloured grout but this too stained the tile, which I had to clean with acid and replace with a light grout which then looked dirty. I went over the floor with an engineered wooden floor which we clean with a mop and a very rung out mop. It's cleans really easily, is easy to keep clean and looks far better than the tiles. The room looks bigger too with white cabinets and an iroko worktop. If you have a light kitchen, definitely go for a darker floor. Ours is Atkinson and Kirby oiled honey oak. It looks great. Comments (8)I have to agree with the other comments, Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) would be a perfect floor for your home. Many people are having this type of flooring installed throughout the ground floor of their homes because it is hard wearing, easy to clean and affordable. Moduleo and Karndean are popular brands, both offer several products ranges which include a variety of wood and stone effect tiles. Alternatively take a look at Harvey Maria, they have some stunning designs that look really good in hallways, kitchens and bathrooms....See MoreBlueprint Ceramics
