Comments (2)Looks like you have a building project on the house. You might try to tie in the colours eg dark floors inside and out? Personally, I would keep the garden as simple as possible. We all love gardens but who really has the time to spend gardening for hours each week. Fencing, borders held with sleeps and maybe a lawned area and tiled area for dining. I am also doing a similar project and finding landscaping materials eg can be expensive. You may want to check out some good value options and limit the area that has paving....See MoreA Beautiful Extension Transformation in South West London
Comments (11)Thank you for your comment. We had to raise the patio with 600mm in order to be flash with the floor level inside of the house. The bottom floor integrated sliding door rail track gives a perfect finish and it is less than an inch high from inside and outside floor level. You can see on the pictures above that the sliding door is floor to ceiling, which allow maximum amount of light going in....See MoreVictorian Renovation in London Part 4 - snagging and garden

Comments (18)Hi Julian A slick contemporary design is dependent on fine detailing and the use of good quality materials, both hard and soft materials. It looks like you have a good sized garden so consider providing more zoning of areas depending on the intended use and time of day eg. BBQ and sun terrace for sitting out in the day time, a shaded area fo easy sitting or hammock, working area for shed, wheelbarrow etc. The working area of the garden is the equivalent of the utility room in the house so you don't necessarily want to see it, so consider part screening this area at the end of the garden. By not seeing all of the garden from the house it adds intrigue and encourages exploration, making the garden feel bigger. In think the planters along the fence line look out of place and you would be better to provide a generous planted border along this side to screen the boundary and add interest along the path. Good luck! Neil...See MoreInes Blasco
