SMALL UTILITY ROOM RENOVATION

Hi Houzzers this is my utility room and I'd like to make it more more modern and sleek and also to match my Heritage cream High gloss Howden's kitchen cabinets. the space I have to work with is: Length 188cm Width 62 1/2cm and Height 231cm. I would love to hide away my washer and dryer in floor to ceiling cupboards and integrate my rather ugly boiler. Also I would love to have a pull out storage. The first pic is my fully room and the rest is my mood board. I would appreciate any suggestions and even if this is do able in the space I've got.

Comments (10)Assuming the plumbing can't go all the way into the porch (and runs along the left), I imagined this: Instead of opening up the complete kitchen-dining wall (probably loadbearing), enlarge the current doorway and have a 'window frame' installed to open things up. No separate utility in this though. And is the door on the side the only door to your garden? I've simply added one, though french doors in the dining would most likely add more value. And with some extra cash you could open up the dining-lounge wall too. And close off some of the hallway to gain storage space under+near the stairs....See MoreLarge floor tiles in small utility room
Comments (3)Hi Macycle, A utility room in a cottage would lend itself to a smaller tile. You said you might feel it was "busy"...I have found that a patterned tile can give energy and life to a very dull utilitarian space. 6 years agoJen p the pic below is the width of the room and I only have that space to work with across from that is a door to the downstairs loo. I'm happy to loose the sink but wouldn't mind keeping it. My hand drawn picture picture is a bit ambitious however I wanted to give and idea where my thoughts are. please excuse my amature drawing
