hiya.

recently finished updating our kitchen and added a dining room. There is not much natural light coming into the dining room or kitchen. Love the look of greys and beige, and cannot decide which to go for... any suggestions on wall paint colours are welcome. the furniture will remain, as Mr Budget does not have much ummmpph left in him!

Hi. I'm not sure what way the rooms faces but you could look at farrow and ball shaded white. I've attached a link showing how it changes in the different light. Is the dining room window overlooked hence the blinds? If you are worried about the light you could also change how the curtains are hung. Or perhaps add a large mirror on one side of the dining area with some colour for art in the opposite side and accessories

I’m bad at colour but this was my take 😊 I also lowered and moved the tv left a little, I would try the coffee table the other way round too. where were your chairs from and will see if I can try and photoshop them to visualise them in situ if you want?

Here are the paint colours in that picture. How dark a colour is does depend on the light. For example I painted my hall, stairs and landing in Pigeon by F&B but because the area has little light it has come out really dark! A lighter green is Mizzle or Cromarty. I have Cromarty in my living room (2nd pic).

Hi Lois Kelly, that is a lovely wallpaper choice and looks like fantastic room you have! From the photos you have attached we would recommend wallpapering every wall up to the ledge. It may look like something is missing by only doing one or two walls. Wallpapering all of the walls would suit the character of the room well. With the window, doors and when furniture is in place it won't feel overpowering as it will be broken up by these elements too. I am waiting to paint walls before hanging pics and mirrors. my hubby insisted we put those frosted stickers on the doors as he does not like the idea of people seeing into the house frm outside.
