Kitchen Diner area - sofa or table or both??
Comments (31)Present it as a dining room when you sell. Ideally, the space would look best with an oblong dining table and no sofa. But removing the sofa and just moving the table into the room is fine. A plain white/linen tablecloth would help hide the chairs; flowers always go down well. Personally I think the space is definitely too cramped for a sofa and dining area, and since you have a lounge, you want to present the house to look as spacious as possible. Consider a narrow console table against the wall, under the pictures, once you rearrange things....See MoreWhite gloss kitchen what dining table?
Comments (17)I understand. I recently started kitchen renovation and I needed tables to order somewhere. I am convinced that the main thing is the material of the table. It depends on where the table will be used. My friend who has his own cafe advised this website https://jsdeco.co.uk/fenix-laminates-bespoke-kitchen-furniture/. There, such tables are quite practical for use in kitchens, and this is wonderful....See Moreneed help with how to furnish this space
Comments (6)I would say you’re nearly there. I think it’s quite usual to have a crisis of confidence at this stage! I think the table needs changing - the wood doesn’t work with the floor and there’s no other wood in the room. It also looks a bit lost there. Maybe a rug to anchor it might help although personally I’m not a fan of dining tables on rugs but something is needed. For me, the door being the same colour as the wall makes it more difficult as it’s such a long bare space without anything really to divide it up. So I think a sideboard / storage (maybe tall storage) along the wall to the right of the door would be good, with a mirror / artwork above if a sideboard. Some artwork behind sofa plus either tall floor lamp or floor standing plants would help. The kitchen area looks good so I don’t think anything major is needed there. You could consider some window treatment, even if just decorative to add some warmth to the space. We didn’t have any curtains or blinds on the windows / doors along the back of our bungalow for 2 years after renovating as we weren’t overlooked but when we finally chose some, it instantly made the space feel more cosy & homely, so maybe something to consider....See MoreWhat colour dining table set is best?
Comments (8)Okay, I'm sorry for reviving this but can you guys please choose another piece for me. I feel guilty for asking again, but I need help! So now I have the blue curtains, the yellow dining chairs, my light grey sofa will be arriving soon facing right, in front of the right blue curtains. I am now wanting to buy this: https://www.swooneditions.com/plymouthrec As my coffee table/footstool in front of the sofa. I am liking, in order: - Kingfisher Teal - Ink Dark Blue - Midnight Blue I really do like the Teal, but I am wondering if there is now too much colour in the room. Blue, Teal AND Yellow, that just looks like paint explosion no? Do you think? The two blues - on one hand I am saying it will look good as it will match curtains, on the other hand, I think it might look samey samey, but I just don't know the rules. Or do you think other colours look good? I was thinking maybe Yellow again, but then that's too much yellow, and yellow doesn't look the best as an ottoman I think? Please help :P I can't put another poll unfortunately Thanks,...See MoreAaltonen Interiors
