Room layout -Really stuck with room layout
Comments (4)If you put the main tv in the area with the French doors - could you see your son from the kitchen ? ( it looks like you could )... I've put together a very quick sketch of an idea to make the most of that beautiful fireplace nook - with a couple of fireside chairs - have either a round display table ( flowers /family photos etc) in the bay or add seating and use as an alternative dining / homework table ? With your 2.5 and 2.3m sofa in the French room end ... If you enable tv viewing /games etc in a tablet it could open up more opportunity too ?! Even if it's fixed in different places rather than hand held if that could be a problem ? [marketing note - this is an example of a sketch consultation service that OnePlan offer . Normal rates would be £35ph. But in this instance, we are happy to have helped this Houzzer FOC ]...See MoreCan't decide what to do with our music room wall, help please!
Comments (22)Hi Philip You can hang on wall whatever you like i guess. I would start with a question, is your room soundproofing sorted? After the whole room sound insulation you can then put on wall number of different styles of acoustic panels. And make that way your own art. They are made flat poster look likes or textured like recording studios. I would start with that. Then there are many companies doing large prints so you can use your own photo or picture or notes to make your own personal wallpaper. Just an quick idea anyway:) Kind regards Radek...See Morebig children's room still cramped- please help with layout!
Comments (6)ceiling height approx 2.4 m. we have thought about bunks a long time and simply pushing it off cause were worried boys will be wild on them.. but I guess we have no choice at this point. still hoping to find a narrow one 76cm for a decent price... I still am not sure where is the best place to put it- not too near to window so that we get most sunlight in and safety for the kids. we also don't want them to near to the door- they'll be peeping out and have difficulty falling asleep... have you any wise ideas??? we then need to put cot somewhere and think about storage space... see photos- current situation....See MoreKitchen / Diner / Living Room layout help!
Comments (29)I have a probably unpopular suggestion... unless you're happy with an end design.. could you either do it in stages (I appreciate living in a building site is Never ideal) So knock out the chimneys and open up the space, but not pull out the kitchen etc. Give you a bit of time to see the space and be able to move your sofa/dining table around to try and work out what would work best in reality? Or postpone the project slightly to give yourselves the time to finalise a layout you're truly happy with +/- using OnePlan? I agree tho, realistically with that layout its stools or the sofa! Also I wondered whether the outside store space off the lean to, could be made accessible from the hallway? And then could that be the utility cupboard? Then you could use that bottom bit in your kitchen for tall units/larder cupboard/pantry/FF etc...See Morerachelmidlands
