Love the stone you have used in this garden, what is it?

Hi there, I am a fellow local garden designer - love what you have done with this garden! What is the grey stone and is it from London Stone?

The stone we used in this scheme was indeed from London Stone. It is their sawn Heath sandstone. Glad to hear you like it.

Nature has a power that acts upon us . . . a garden is alive (at least at certain times of the year) and is continuously demonstrating the powers of creation . . . . brings us cleaner air, anchors the soil, engages our senses . . . what's not to like? I helped my Dad build a fire pit in his garden, he made wooden seats to sit around the metal fire pit with old stone columns for extra seating (unfortunately you can't see the actual fire-pit as behind the stone bench). Lots of stories and fun are had around it until deep into the night. If you have the space it is a great addition to put in! Shannon

I'm feeling pleased to say I have now be later in life been enjoying some of the things I'd love to have, for some time so they don't count for my 'one thing I'm still hoping for..' I love my upmarket induction hob with timer that saves my food from my memory when distracted by a phone call for a chat-length of time; no day goes by without the thrill of pulling open my kitchen's larder cupboard where the contents are so visible and high space is utilised. I agree with ? about having a bidet and have just had one installed and another wish - a walk-in shower Yeah!

Yes we have inherited a leaky pond with a broken paving edge so thats a project soon to be started. Also we're building some decking and I'm considering extending the decking slats around two or three sides of the new pond. The garden is surrounded by unpainted breeze-block walls, so I'm desperate to get them painted but the weather is not on my side!
