Our new kitchen
Comments (27)Ah! thanks Jonathan!! I will have another look at the cabinet.. I think if we decide to make the island bigger we might have to add an extra cabinet.. need to check with my kitchen designer as don't remember now if it would be on both sides... had it all drawn out on the floor the other night.. and the island does seem a bit too big if I integrate the pillar.. and might be a bit on the way of the entrance and my sofa that I plan to have in the middle of that part of the room for watching TV.. I think I will try to push my kitchen guy to do it flash with the island.. which would safe 10 cm and would be on the same level with the back door. For some reason he says it will be practically impossible to have it perfectly flash while keeping the waterfall feature..///??? ahhh...See MoreHow our 3D renders helped this customer!
Comments (0)Many of our customers have the same dilemma... how to visualise the space once completed. With our customer Claire we worked for weeks on designs and layouts for the new kitchen/dining room space until we had it right. We planned on knocking down a few walls and opening and brightening the space whilst adding a gorgeous bespoke kitchen across the center connecting the areas and creating a true heart to what will become a beautiful home. The build is currently still going but we wanted to show you a few before's, the finished renders.. and then let you watch the space come together as we do! Enjoy. This is the property when Claire purchased - it was tired, dark and dated. The L shaped room with current door and window positions made it difficult to fit what the client needed in the space and didn't take adventure of the garden and fantastic views. After weeks of planning and looking at different options the design was agreed and the final 3D images were created to show the client exactly how the space would look - leaving her confident in her decisions on everything from layout to colour. Now the fun could begin! The beautiful new stone floor was laid and instantly gave depth with texture and a brighter more modern feel. New windows and bi-fold doors were added to add light and take advantage of the beautiful views and back garden space. A new door with glass pane leading to the pantry and laundry rooms will add more light from the new windows here too. And then the kitchen arrived really bringing the space to life. We will keep you up to date with the room as it slowly comes to life but please feel free to check out our profile page and see how 3D's can help save hundreds or thousands on your home renovations by allowing you to really visualise the space. Comments (6)I'm glad you decided to move things around although I'm still not convinced you're planning it right. Why have wasted corners? Personally I'd want the sink by the window. I wouldn't want to be looking at a blank wall as you have a huge window. I'm aware you have to have the hob over here because of the extraction from previous memory. Are you going to use the some units or are you buying replacements? Take advantage of the floor to ceiling height and have tall units where possible. Consider using 900 x 900 L shaped corner bases in each corner. You will not get those wasted corners and by having these and using 170 degree hinges you will be able to open each door fully therefore gaining full access to each corner. Plan around these for the back wall. For instance 2 x 900L bases, plus a dishwasher at 600mm and a sink carcase at 600mm equals 3m so if you have that measurement available that's what I'd go with if you're adamant about keeping the sink here....See MoreAdvice on on a kitchen extension for our new home
Comments (2)Hi Andrea, How exciting, congratulations. A couple of comments I would make. There is a lot of seating/eating in the kitchen! Do you really need a bistro table, dining table and island? I think the dining table is a must but the snacky casual seating I think either/or! Also as a guest, I hate toilets with two doors! I always think I'm going to forget to lock or unlock them both! I like the concept of the large utility room and I can't quite read all the words on there but can the toilet perhaps stay in its current location (saving ££) and make the kitchen and utility room one space with a new backdoor elsewhere or by shortening the existing toilet wall? If you want any help drawing up 3D visualisations, give me a shout! https://www.coveykitchens.co.uk/design-services/Space-Planning Good Luck Emily x...See Moremockery
