We worked with the owners of this house in Kew, Southwest London, to fundamentally improve the flow through their house. We added a large extension to the rear to create a spacious living area and kitchen.
The existing basement - a mess with low ceilings and bad waterproofing - was extended to the back. The extra space allowed them to house a guest bedroom, which through moving walls can be used as a study or lounge, a second kitchen and utility room.
The upper bedrooms were designed with ample storage and spacious bathrooms - all connecting to the new staircase which winds down to the basement.
