Hello! Where did you get your tiles from?

Hello! My husband and I are in love with this kitchen - we are able to get similar coloured units and wood tops but cannot find these types of tiles anywhere. Where did you buy these exact ones? Thanks so much!

Hello, these were very old original quarry tiles, however, our sister company Floors of Stone have just started stocking a very similar tile, you can see it on their website here: https://www.floorsofstone.com/our-tile-range/terracotta-tiles/terracotta-tiles

You were so helpful with the tiles and we've already ordered samples!! Would you mind telling me where to get the handles from too? Have seen some similar ones but thought may as well try!! Thanks in advance!

Mylands. You always regret your economies. I've repainted this kitchen 4X over the years, and last time was in Dulux which wore so poorly. Just custom mixed a new vibrant duck egg to paint my kitchen in marble matt walls, eggshell woodwork, and floor paint. Mylands matched impeccably. It was a dream of coverage, and looks spectacular. The quality of the pigment shows, looks the money, nothing like synthetic mediocre pigments in cheaper paint. It's a big improvement.

Hello donned2004, Well you could remove all the things from the hearth.. So it has more space.. Hang the mirror and paint the chimney breast a nice colour to bring the fireplace into full focus.. If you wanted to have an even bigger recess.. you could open the fire out up to the sides of the wooden surround.. So taking out the 30's tiles.. Make sure the lintel is in place or doesn't need replacing and keep the surround it's rather nice.. Remove the current tiled hearth if you chose to open it out more.. and install a flat piece of slate.. So then you would have an open brick recess and a lovely iron basket could sit nicely inside for logs! Another idea to continue into the room.. might be to look at painting the woodwork a colour to compliment any wall colours you have.... Some lovely painted floorboards, or parquet or a natural Jute or Coir flooring if you have not already decided upon something.. : ))

Kalami in North East Corfu. Beautiful clear blue sea, bleached pebble beach dotted with driftwood overlooked by hills lined with ancient olive and pine trees. A couple of fabulous tavernas on the beach and a water taxi every evening to take you to one of the superb tavernas on the beach (literally) on Agni bay or Agios Stefanos. Grilled calamari, octopus stifado or king crab linguini eaten on a jetty overlooking the bay and the fishing boats - accompanied by a glass of excellent Corfiot wine. No large hotels, nightclubs or English pubs. Unspoilt just like the Greek islands used to be!

We got quite a lot from Ironmngery direct. You can always order one item as a sample and return it if you don't like it. Depends on your price point and how much choice you want. Have you checked out screwfix and toolstation?

The handles are deVOL's own 'Bella Brass' hardware and unfortunately we do not sell these separately, they are only available as part of a deVOL Kitchen.
