Glass tile splashback

Hi there
Really like the glass tile splash back you used in your kitchen, could you tell me where you sourced it and the colour. Cheers

Hi. its a RAL colour, there is couple of colours with a silver dust, I will be able to check it for you tomorrow as I am away from my office.

Hi Darren, Here are a some images showing some similar finishes you have specified. This is a FB colour on a plain glass - Manor House Grey This is antique bronze mirror below. The below also has the Antique bronze mirror as a large single panel on the wall and also fitted in the Island Niche. The below is FB Blackened - Nice and reflective, and matches the wall colour almost perfectly - looks great with the light and dark tones of the cabinets. This is a plain Bronze mirror - looking completely different to the Antique version. Finally I have one in a Dark Blue - I don't have a better image unfortunately. We did notice it did darken the niche area when it was installed a lot....this may be a contributing factor in your decision... Best of Luck, once you have decided, I'd love to see what you go with.

Tiles, splashback, or another solution to tiling under a sloping sill?

The tiles will be covering the areas coloured light blue on this plan (the white and dark blue will be covered with panelling). Have narrowed it down to three tiles which will fit without too much faffing/cutting: Lucy - a 15x15 tile, though not sure if I should stick with one colour or do some kind of mix with the blues and white. https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/bathroom-tiles/lucy-tiles Rhian - a 10x30 tile. Again, it comes in a selection of blues and grays so I don't have to stick to the one colour. https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/rhian-30x10-tiles?product_colour=14%2C22#scroll-js Illumina - a 7.5x30 tile which also comes in blues and a gray. https://www.tonsoftiles.co.uk/illumina-wall-tiles/colour/blue-grey.html My current favourite is the Illumina as the finish looks lovely. I would have to apply the tiles vertically along the worktop by the sink though, as trimming 1-2cm off several 7.5 width tiles sounds like a recipe for lots of broken bits... Any thoughts on tile selection/orientation please? Had a play in Paint at some possibles.

I do like Bushboard products.................the only draw back with the Vista range of splashbacks is that most of them are 9mm thick, which can pose problems when trying to put the faces back on your sockets, as the screws may not reach. It's one of those products, that if you were going to use it, like very thick tiles, then you need to sort out your back boxes to accommodate it. Glass is usually supplied in 4mm like a standard tile, which doesn't give you the knock on problem with the sockets. The long socket screws are only 75mm, so they will not reach if you stick a 9mm product on the wall with adhesive. 6 of their products:- Constellation, Hazy Forest, Inner City Cloud / Ocean Grey, Kaldeidescope Grey / Blue come in 4mm, suitable for a wall. Standard Acrylic sheeting ( from just about anywhere ) is orderable - ( is that a word?) from 3mm up, but of course, may not be suitable for behind a hob. However, we have this in our downstairs shower room, and it's great.

hi Zoe, if you are fixed on glass, you should probably go for a strong colour or the kitchen could be quite monotone. you could have a painted wall and have a 50mm or 100mm upstand in the same finish as the worktop around the hob you could have glass or a metal full height splashback. what is the colour of the floor in the kitchen as that could provide help in deciding the colour if glass is your preferred solution. best Rowland
