kitchen floor advice please!
Comments (7)Hi, We agree that parquet flooring is a nice idea to help create flow throughout the space. It's also very much on trend, and timelessly stylish too! We'd recommend laying the pattern direction along the length of the hallway and then continuing this direction into the other rooms. The hallway is, after all, where first impressions are made so we'd suggest getting it just how you like it in this room first of all. The second and third mages from Man About the House show the flow well. Alternatively, you could go for parquet in your hallway and planks in your kitchen, in the same colour of wood - the colour flows but this mixes up the pattern a little and gives you the chance to choose your preferred direction in each room. Here's some colour inspiration too: I hope that helps! Best wishes, Hannah | Woodpecker Flooring...See MoreKitchen diner flooring advice
Comments (3)Not really. I don’t like the idea of 2 different timber colours together at all. Hubby (an established Joiner of 50 years) has always said to customer don‘t mix 2 different timbers. Could you have a different colour on the floor? What colour are your fascias? If they’re as the image above (2 tones of blue) then perhaps look at a grey flooring tone)....See MoreFlooring advice
Comments (18)Hi CT, I agree with the other comments. I'd go with a large format simple tile. The larger the better for a modern look. Also, might be worth considering giving the exsiting pine floors a sand and wax with a more neutral finish. This will help to take away a bit of the orange and make choosing the floor tiles easier. Don't try to match, it rarely works and can look jarring. Hope that helps! :)...See Moreattic office room flooring advice
Comments (3)i’ve got wood effect LVT on our top floor and haven't noticed any noise, however you can buy underlays for LVT which will reduce sound if you were worried. https://www.carpet-underlay-shop.co.uk/products/lvt-acoustic-vinyl-click-flooring-underlay-from-3-99-per-m2 Cork is also a natural sound insulator so you could also consider that. Sisal as colourhappy said would also be good...See MorePauls Floors
