Help me with my hearth and fireplace please ?
Comments (3)I think the picture is fine, it follows the lines of the brick pillars (it may need to to go a fraction to the right but that could be the camera angle but I cant tell if it's hung at the right height as the pic doesn't show the ceiling!)I'd go for brick slips for the hearth. In terms of ornaments you need a couple of things with some height on either side, they could match or not ( if not then get one taller than the other) but I think they need to be at least 2/3 inches higher than the bottom of the picture. I'd also centre the clock. I don't know what your style is but you could try orchids, vases or candlesticks, urns, decorative jars like a ginger jar etc. I think the rhino is too short with the picture tbh, unless you can lower the picture?...See MoreShall I paint , render , or tile
Comments (15)Hello Jakub, I think the grey tiles are nice and more interesting perhaps than they could be.. you might consider changing the window colour to compliment.. I do definitely prefer the darker window to white for this style house, but that's my take on it especially if they are upvc and they might not be of course but you can as some don't realise change the colour on these windows.. I can see them a dark grey or leave them as they are. Possibly think of adding some foliage.. One last thing.. I also like the brick and would leave these as they are.. They offer texture as do the tiles and so I just think you could focus on the drive and add plants. Buxus balls with some fabulous architectural styling would be magnificent.. : ))...See MoreWhat shall I paint?
Comments (5)It could work well. I meant to say I'd just consider the size of the room and height of the ceiling. If the room was small for instance with very high ceilings and you painted the walls a really dark colour you could end up with something cupboard like. Dulux, crown etc have paint visualiser apps which could help....See MoreHelp! What colour shall we paint living room of our period cottage?
Comments (6)Almond White is a lovely, warm neutral which will marry with so many bolder, but warm tones. Removing the wallpaper and painting that wall in a slightly deeper shade would look good. I rather like the stone F&B shades like Oxford Stone or London Stone. Light Gray looks lovely too. If you want to go even darker try Mouse‘s Back. Do you like green at all? Pigeon is a soft but deep green and very cosy. Hague Blue and Inchyra Blue are beautiful rich inky shades that would also look good, but they may be a bit too dark for a north facing room? Here’s some pics for inspiration. LONDON STONE MOUSES BACK PIGEON HAGUE BLUE INCHYRA BLUE...See Morewhippet girl
