Need help for my bedroom. I don't know where to start!
Comments (12)Hi, I agree with Nancy a white wooden bed would be great in your bedroom especially as you have painted your door white and your skirting is white also, or alternatively a darker grey fabric headboard would also be stunning with white bedding.. Wall colour is a very personal choice but i would recommend a light grey by The little Greene company No. 224 (INOX) i think it would work well with your existing patten and will not be to over powering in the room. See link: http://www.littlegreene.com/paint/colour/grey-paint-colours/inox-224 I would re-sintall the fireplace if you can as would bring back that classic look you are going for, keeping a white surround or shelf would also keep the room feeling light and airy. Pop some frames or artwork up on the walls behind the bed and maybe a mirror about the fireplace (if you re-install) and i think you will have a very stunning bedroom. I hope this is helpful, please email me if you would like to chat. Peach x...See MoreI need help with my new loft bedroom
Comments (2)Hi there, I'd say you've made a great start with Cornforth White because it's such a lovely calming and understated grey colour. It also means you can go pretty much any way colour wise. If you fancy keeping the room relatively neutral, opt for a relatively simple fabric for the curtains... This simple stripe fabric from Designers Guild would look great, and comes in a number of warm tones https://www.designersguild.com/uk/designers-guild-essentials/fabric/brera-nastro-duck-egg-fabric/p12867. If you fancy opting for something more vibrant, Bluebellgray have some beautifully hand painted linen designs ranging from bold abstract to delicate floral... http://www.bluebellgray.com/shop/fabrics/abstract/ Carpet wise, I think a natural hessian style would look lovely. Hope the ideas help!...See MoreFirst Floor Bedroom Layout, where to extend sideways or into loft?
Comments (29)Lovely Nic - Thank you :) No - If you have a downstairs WC then you don't need a family bathroom in my opinion either. It's all about you and how *you* use your home. I think it essential to have a facility for the guests downstairs (toilet and basin) but the rest is personal areas to you so should reflect you and your needs - like the kids with the showers! Great that that's taken care of. I love the feature window for the fields. I hope the other one gets passed (on the right) but if not a mirror on that side would help reflect the window the other side and give you the same impression but allow any storage you may require....See MoreLoft conversion: 2nd Master Bedroom (plus smaller double) ? Comments (5)We had the same dilemma and opted for a slightly larger main a Jack and Jill bathroom and used the slightly smaller double as a massive walk in wardrobe (a future owner could use the room as another double bedroom but for us the space for clothing was much better as a solution than a spare room that would rarely be used). Due to the eaves the hanging room is limited in a loft so better and cheaper to use drawers and hanging rails under the eaves for storage (rather than bespoke wardrobes) which meant it being on show so we wanted it in a separate room to our sleeping area....it's a wonderful haven now and we love it...hope that helps - to see a walk through........See MoreMarinela Danut Bodnarescu
