Comments (2)What a gorgeous house. I think that duplicating things is a good idea, so keeping the front door oak makes sense because it relates to the oak windows upstairs. You could then have oak windows, or, as Forzaitalia says a dark colour, but if going for a dark colour such as black or charcoal I would consider painting the bargeboards/soffits the same colour so it looks deliberate. You could also stain the upstairs cladding black which would look really smart next to the oak. Black can look a bit harsh next to pale render but I think it works really well next to brick....See MoreOpinion wanted: making the most of the extension
Comments (8)Well, i think this is just perfect as I designed it! the good thing about 3 is you can have 2/3rds open... see here a mush smaller version, also 3, with a corner return as there were planning restraints ( if we didn't step the back elevation we would have had to slope the roof down to the boundary which is never ideal) - this time in white...See MoreA S
