Type of timber used on the walls in this lovely courtyard garden?

We are trying to disguise a sloping wall with a fence (neighbour's) on top - so mismatched and ugly! Just wondered if this could be the solution. Any advice on the type of timber i.e. dimensions & whether it's pressure treated would be most gratefully received.

Siberian Larch makes a great timber for this slatted fencing/screening www.slattedscreenfencing.co.uk stock 44mm wide slats or pre made panels if you want the easier option.

This may or may not help as it will require further internet research but I recently saw an episode of 'Selling Houses with Amanda Lamb' in which a woman transformed her courtyard in to an Eastern paradise. Not my taste but nevertheless it looked fantastic!. The only bit I can remember (with it not being something I'd do) was that I think she painted the brickwork/walls a bright turquoise. Seriously though if you can Youtube the episode, google the programme, Facebook Amanda Lamb, whatever it would be worth a watch for inspiration.

My husband would use it as a dojo lol. My children would like to ride their scooters round it and maybe add a climbing wall and definitely bunk beds for sleep overs. I would fancy it as a seasonal ‘me’ room where I can vent my design ideas in peace and only invite people in if I felt like it.
