THIS IS A REALLY NICE ROOM. I LIKE THE BEAM AND FIREPLACE. IF YOU LIKE WARM AND TRADITIONAL THE WHOLE ROOM COULD HAVE GONE RED, BUT YOU NEED TO USE THE RIGHT RED, I WOULD SUGGEST USING FIRED EARTHS MADDER RED IN ACRYLIC. THE COLOUR HAS A PINK UNDERTONE AND IS SO CLASSY, USING ACRYLIC GIVES A CLASSY SHEEN WHICH REFLECTS LIGHT OFF THE WALLS. I WOULD PAINT THE FIREPLACE WHITE. I WOULD KEEP THE SOFA'S GET LAURA ASHLEY CUSHIONS AND SOME NICE THROWS FROM TK MAXX. I WOULD LAY ENGINEERED LIGHT OAK OR LAMINATE FLOOR, THIS WOULD AGAIN BOUNCE LIGHT. BUY A PRETTY LIGHT FITTING AND PUT FULL LENGTH SHEER CURTAINS AT WINDOW, IKEA HAVE SOME GREAT ONES. PAINT TABLE WHITE. IF YOU DONT WANT RED GO COASTAL COTTAGE WITH A SEA SIDE VIBE WITH BLUE AND WHITES. LAURA ASHLEY COASTAL STYLE WOULD SUIT THE SPACE WITH ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE. BUT EITHER WAY CELEBRATE THE ROOMS COTTAGE VIBE ITS SUPER EN-VOGUE AT THE MOMENT. GOOD LOOK.

Hi. Is everything already ordered/bought? I might look at linen for the curtains if not to add a different texture. Does the fireplace actually exist? If it does I might have the furniture arranged at right angles to it. Have you already looked at sisal or sea grass rugs? I think the texture adds warmth. I might be tempted to add a little more colour, aubergine would work for a pattern in cushions, art etc. Do also mix up the textures for cushions, throw etc and add some pattern. I might also add brass or gold for a mirror, picture frames etc as it will look great against the olive. Plants also add life, at minimum I'd add a large potted one by the patio doors.

Hello, I think your TV position is fine where it is so you could put a sectional sofa and an armchair instead of the two sofas that currently face each other. A round or an oval coffee table would also be a more balanced choice in terms of shape as currently there are too many rigid rectangles and straight corners. Good luck! Natalia
