Matt black bathroom hardware

Hello - starting to plan 2 bathrooms and we'd like modern style matt black taps and shower fittings. Other than Vola (wayyy too expensive!) we are struggling to find such items in UK.
Any suggestions for £-££ brands to look at please?

Matt black seems pretty popular at the moment so I'm sure other online bathroom stores may sell them too.

Victorian plumbing is reasonably priced too, as I've been looking and comparing lots of sights and prices for my own bathrooms.

Hi Michael, Sorry, but I have to partially disagree with you on this, daylight colour temperature is 6500K not 4000K. Yes, 4000K is warmer than 6500K but it does not give a truer representation of colour. Colour representation is measured using the colour rendering index or CRI. The closer to 100, the closer to daylight. The Megaman LEDs are 80 CRI for each of the colour temperatures. That said, the 4000K fitting will produce a brighter and cleaner feel to the room. However, it can look too harsh at night. 2700K is closer to traditional halogen fittings. It can look duller during the day, but looks a lot more welcoming in the evening - perfect for a soak in the bath. It comes down to personal preference in the end

Think i'd be tempted to have the mirror just on the sink side, you will see the whole bathroom when you walk in, reflected in it. Mirror above a bath unless seperated by some tiling will be an absolute pain to keep smear free, and it may be a little overkill. Plus, maybe bathing and looking in the mirror at the same time, not to relaxing??

We did black and dark slate tiles in our bathrooms. The plain black actually had a subtle sparkle which helped bounce the light. I never regretted either and plan to do something similar in our new house. The slate bathroom was windowless but the huge mirror overcame the lack of natural light. Go for it!

Thank you guys for your helpful advice and comments. Chloe yes I love wall mounted taps too, we are definitely getting wall mounted for bath but I don’t think we can for basin as it’s an external wall so unless a plumber can do something very clever we’d probably have to put some extra studwork in there which would reduce the width of the room which we can’t do unless we made the shower smaller than a 900x900 quadrant which we also don’t want to do! I love the crosswater brushed brass taps, but I can’t seem to find a tall basin mixer tap version of the range, and we need a tall mixer tap as we’d love a countertop basin. It’s so frustrating when the companies don’t do all the different types of tap for that range, some of them I find don’t do showerhead versions either so you can’t match it all up!

Hi, with matt black it may very difficult to find cheap alternative as not many companies do this kind of fittings, and suppliers that do make them charge a lot.
