Small bathroom and small ensuite or large bathroom?
Comments (3)From what your describing we had the same thing going on,I didn't like the ensuite( too small) and the bathroom needed to be bigger,so we got rid of the ensuite and put a door between our bedroom and bathroom like a jack and Jill. After a while I felt it just didn't work so we closed up the wall and we now have one big bathroom.im glad we did it now. I too wondered if it would devalue the house and I'm sure if a larger family moved in it could be a bit of a problem, maybe someone from the real estate world will pop in and give you some advice. Good luck with whatever way you choose to go....See MoreFit a separate shower and bath in small bathroom
Comments (12)Options then would be:- putting them on the shorter wall opposite the sink: 800 wide shower (or 700) but 1m length coming out into the room as the entry door is offset. That gives a good sized shower. Then you have 1m tub space to play with for a deep tub. Then I would put the WC and sink on the other short wall so entry into the tub isn’t hindered. 1200 or 1300 tub on the 2m back wall with an 800 or 700 wide corner shower. Actually you could potentially have it so the wc is far left back wall with 1500 bath opposite the door and then a corner shower far right side. It’s all a bit cramped though with a standard or even small sized tub so do consider a shower over bath. You can get short rise baths if it’s an issue with getting in/out that’s the issue. Also shower baths with 800 shower area if it’s shower experience...See MoreMix of tiles and shower panels in small bathroom?
Comments (7)Ah ok! i would price up both options as your refurb wont be cheap then, it may be better to do exactly what you want as you’ll still be left with grout? I know the panels can go straight over tiles if necessary but do they sell ”trim” for dealing with the window recess?? Are you installing a glass screen so as to delineate the shower area? You could also just paint the remaining walls although they may need reskimming.....See MoreHelp! Need organization ideas for a small bathroom with no storage
Comments (6)Hi Alexandra, this is a nice bathroom and you can do a lot with it. If you do not want to replace your fixtures with some built-in vanity etc, an under-sink cabinet can be a start. there are a few cabinets around, I like this one from Dunelm Adding shelves above the toilet would balance out the wall space. add some greenery or artificial plants, candles, stuck toilet paper, etc. A bigger mirror cabinet could be a good idea also. This IKEA Hemnes mirror cabinet is 98cm high and has a nice open shelf too. It is also quite pretty and can add a cozy look to a modern bathroom. TheseIKEA Hooks with suction cups are useful as you do not need to drill the walls. A few shower baskets with suction cups would look good in the shower.
