Comments (14)Thanks a lot of your advice 3 interiors.. I just purchased this property and would love to live there for avoid number of years. Unfortunately even the second bedroom is not big, so it's going to be difficult for me to sacrifice the space the second bedroom brings, instead I would try and maximise as much as possible with the space available in the existing bathroom . What you think of my idea and NK idea of taking of the bath all together - move the WC next to the sink and create a wet room in the space now available near the window. Since the width is 1.5 meter, i suppose one can make a decent wet room isn't ??... What's your view in this one ???.. Secondly what you think about my idea of change the layout of the entrance door to the bathroom ?? Would a outward opening door or sliding door will give a illusion of a bigger shower/wet room ??.. I will be greatly obliged to receive your valuable comments...See MoreTiny Bathroom With No Windows
Comments (3)I think if you put a back to the wall toilet in and build a false wall out by 200mm in which to fit niches, you can hide your pipework and have somewhere to put shampoos etc whilst in the shower. I also think that you can fit in an offset shower tray 800 x 1000mm and a vanity of 600mm. That takes all of your room up across the back, but gives you a super shower area, with room to step out in to a big enough space in front of the toilet and towards the door. This shows the 200mm wall by the back to the wall toilet. You could start the first niche at the same height, but what i mean is, go right to the ceiling constructing something like this one. That's my shower.................and,. although you won't have a walk in like that, you can then put your shower, like this one up to the wall. Shown with actual size objects as above. Then you can fit in a full size Vanity like this one. Please note that you may also want a radiator, but there are some quite slimline ones available these days, and as your door opens outwards, there is room for one on the right as you step through....See MoreShower room layout
Comments (6)Sorry I didn't really mean the first one. Drawn out the two I meant, I think the first is probably out if you don't want a wetroom (though not checked exact dimensions on whether this works!) Would suggest doing the shower for the whole of the gap - your builder will hopefully be able to give you some options there, but options with a standard shower tray include having a floor level tiled section on one side or building out the wall a bit which allows you to have tiled shelves or niche within the shower. If you don't fancy either or the gap is quite big, you could build the wall out & have deep shelves for towels accessible from outside the shower above the sink....See MoreJ J
