Need help with furniture placement in bedroom!
Comments (17)The ŵall looks great, I prefer it to your original choice! The chest of drawers look great pushed together. I wouldn't try going for a symmetrical layout. Hang the mirror where it is portrait with a lamp that's in between the sizes of the 2 shown (maybe a charcoal shade?) with a shorter vase of flowers etc on the rhs and some kind of decorative object in the middle ( a decorative horse's head might look good?!)...See Moregrotty one bed transformed to light, modern two bedroom apartment
Comments (3)What a lovely use of space, although for my personally the sink on the end of a run doesn't work quite so well (but this may well work for the owner; just a personal opinion.) and will look even better once the owners inject some personality and their own style into the property. Can I ask what was used for the kitchen splashback? Would love to create a marble effect splashback for the future! Well done!...See MoreRecessed lights above bedroom mirror?
Comments (0)Hi, I am installing recessed lights in my bedroom and wondering whether it is a good idea to install one in front of a full-length mirror. I have found information on vanity mirrors but not on regular mirrors outside bathrooms. Would it cast a shadow? This mirror is off the closet, so we use it everyday to get ready. Thanks!...See MoreBedroom curtain/blind/shutter/window dilemma!
Comments (8)Like anything a lot will depend on budget. You can get blinds which install onto the frame of the window itself (assuming these are a upvc type?). The blinds sit within a track which you clip to the frame (look at Perfect Fit blinds), various options including blackout - not a particularly cheap option though. You could consider having one long track across the ceiling or above the window openings - you can get tracks that provide ability to have two (or more!) Sets of curtains. So you could have a lighter mesh/voile type for privacy but daylight and then a heavier fabric with blackout lining that you pull across at night. Going for a 'wave' heading rather than pencil pleat gives a very neat, high end look especially if you get the track as high as possible so it's essentially floor to ceiling curtain. Very luxe-y but again quite dear depending on curtain fabric. Having said that IKEA do do the tracks for multiple curtain sets so there are more budget ways to get the look....See Moreestipom
