A good light grey kitchen paint and blinds.

Hi does anyone have any suggestions/experience of a nice grey kitchen paint.
I have had bad experience in the past with grey paint looking blue or lilac and don't want to make that mistake again as it's a large area.
Looking at light grey to match my Matt white and anthracite kitchen we are having an orange splash back and other accessories in orange.
Also any suggestions on a blind and covering for French doors appreciated I'm not sure whether to match them or if I can get away with a pattern at the window and plain in the doors.
Pic shows some sample paints was steering to the lightest one but now I'm thinking it will look lilac!!!

6 years agoThe light grey is Valspar grey morn, the one in the middle is b&q light rain I like this one but think it will be to dark for the whole room the first we have totally discounted.
The floor tiles don't have an olive tinge prob just the pic I have put another of the floor.

Comments (5)If a grey is made up of black + white it can be very cold. However, if a grey is a de-saturated grey of a colour such as Dakar or Lamp Room Grey then it can make things easier. I would opt for a floor that has some warmth, without a doubt. Don't forget, whatever you choose now may be with you for years, so I would avoid the 'obvious'. As the flooring is potentially one of the most expensive parts of the scheme, make that your focus. Grey units and white worktops will look cool, so you can afford to go for something warm with the floor. This could be tiles in a buff colour, tiles that are terracotta (I would bet money on these making a comeback), patterned tiles or wood. 6 years agoHi S, Regarding the blinds, we would recommend having matching blinds for the french doors and the window. You might like to consider having sunscreen roller blinds as they provide some privacy and shading without blocking all the light.

6 years agoHi S, We have similar colours of kitchen units and went for F&B Cornforth White modern emulsion. It’s hard wearing and easily wipes clean, and there’s a lovely depth to the colour. I’ve taken a pic from our lounge through to the kitchen and dining room to try and show how the colour changes in the light. It feels warm and there’s never the slightest blue tinge to it. We are delighted with our choice.

6 years agoThank you, your kitchen looks lovely, this was an old post we went for Dulux grey steel 3 in the end which we are happy with as it looks different in all areas.
My dilemma now if anyone can help is what to do with the window and doors I’m thinking something dark at the window with a bit of colour we have gone orange but I’m going to add a bit of other colour to break it up and suggestions/ideas would be great x
