POLL: Towel bar or towel hooks?
Comments (26)Depends on the room, some designs really suits towel bar, especially when the accessories are intrinsic to the design. Other times you just want to hide things on the back of a door, so both have their place....See MoreHow can I have warm towels?
Comments (11)We have loads of options that would work from your description and that are very reasonably priced. I would suggest considering: A very skinny ladder rail that could go between the shower and the loo (I am not sure of the maximum width you have but e.g. Our Ashdown and Svelte start at only 300mm wide. http://www.featureradiators.co.uk/Towel_Rails.htm http://www.featureradiators.co.uk/Towel_Rails.htm The Shaft - a single heated vertical pole http://www.featureradiators.co.uk/Prices/TowelRails/2014%2011%2002%20-%20Shaft.pdf Our Ladda (leaning style) http://www.featureradiators.co.uk/Prices/TowelRails/2015%2012%2001%20-%20Ladda.pdf Or we offer various shelf options as previously suggested. Comments (8)Thank you both. Victoria - like the idea of the vanity there with the toilet on the same side but i think with the space to the toilet it would feel very cramped as there would only be around 40cm between the vanity and toilet in which to stand. I know it's a concession but do you think having a 600 vanity and if i can run the waste round the left wall this would be the best option on the layout? It of course all depends on what the plumber can manage with the waste but hopefully there is a solution!...See MoreWhere should I put a mirror in this bathroom?
Comments (13)I wondered where this post had disappeared to. I had a couple of thoughts, though partly covered above. I agree that circular mirror would avoid avoid accentuating the asymmetry of the wall. I would center the mirror above the washbasin with something else to the right, such as the two mirror photo that kikiamack posted. I definitely think a mirror is required, either for shaving or for make-up. I also wondered if you could get the vanity the other way round. I.e. with the narrower end by the bath. I can't totally visualize it, but just think it might look better that way. As for the original post, yes, there are one or two (or maybe a couple more) Pros on the US site, whose behavior is distinctly unprofessional. I think they see themselves as 'a bit if a character' and substitute ignorant rudeness for when they lack an answer to the question that is actually asked. I'm not a pro by any means, but I can see how the design might look unusual. However, I would start from the premise that the room is designed around an owner's specific requirements and not to please people who can only follow the current rules. Be grateful that you have your own site where you are free of their sneering!....See More
