You can have some kind of console under the stairs with lighting and a round mirror to make the place look spacious and perhaps small pendants , 3 or so, along the corridor. Definitely looks like it needs brightening up and lighting is key. However of course it depends on what you doing with the rest of the house, for example you could even change the stairs and have a nice runner . It is not just the hallway, but the entrance to your house and it all has to flow!...See MoreHelp needed with Hall flooring in converted flat
Comments (46)Hello Robin, No need to remove anything just add a huge mirror on the right hand wall with some height as I suggested earlier in the thread, then you will get a border reflected and also the arch! It is quite important to work with what you have, and you can cleverly with the oversized mirror! eBay have a shop for them! Once you paint frame to match the walls you will see how useful it could be. Possibly 8ft by 8ft as high as you can go to get the arch in! It's what I would do.. :))...See Morehow can i make this hallway look larger and uplift it
Comments (6)If possible, I’d change the blind - a Roman blind with colour / pattern would be great. I’d look at installing a slimline shelf over the radiator which would help take the focus off the radiator. A mirror or artwork opposite the window would be good although you might need a door stopper so that the door doesn’t crash into it when it’s opened. Then I’d have a floor runner / rug by the door....See MoreCan you help with colour scheme for hallway and landing
Comments (1)The entrance to your house provides the opportunity to be bold with colour. This space sets the expectations for the rest of the home on entry. You could consider whether you would like a fresh bright feel created by cool light tones or a comforting warm hug utilising warm tones and warm light. This could link with other rooms to become part of the whole property and larger space or contrast the other rooms to create a moment of build up before entering the other spaces. Glamour can mean different things to different people - quality materials, lighting atmosphere, a statement wow factor or reserved sophistication. Hope that helps, Ellen...See MoreCreate Perfect
