What would look best on this wall... and lighting.
I need to decide what units or shelving to put on this wall so would love some opinions on what might look best. The large cupboard in the left hand corner will house the boiler. The opposite wall will be fairly busy with tower units and wall cabinets all the way along so this wall could do will a more minimal or more interesting layout. Somewhere to store glasses and mugs would be my main priority for this wall. Bonus if I can get some shelving for cookbooks or wine bottle slots. Does this cupboard/shelving option look ok or does anyone have a better idea? Also, any suggestions for lighting? I love hanging pendant lights over a breakfast bar but don't really think this one will be big enough for that to work.

It's currently pushed against a wall which works fine but would prefer it to have access either side for a couple if possible :) Ace your space- I really like the layout that way, there is a radiator under the window (i should have said) so would need moving which think may be a bigger job. It's something i would consider though and hadn't though of it that way. Jonathon- I am in love with the pegs they would be perfect. Your room layout is my dream just didn't know if it would be achievable. I have a king size bed at the moment but it's a very big frame so much bigger than the standard measurements so if i turn it your way there is about a 8 cm gap to the shorter wall so it needs replacing. Man about the house- love the layout and interesting to get more than one view thank you so much All- can i please be cheeky and ask another question. I think my issue is a standard size double would fit e.g 190cm long but when i look at standard sites e.g John Lewis, Next, Dreams all of the beds seem to have a frame which is 208-210cm which would just be too long. Do you know where I can find a frame that is 190cm? I would have loved a flip storage bed but recognize that will be too long so I am open to any bed. Budget for bed up to about £700 ish. I think a Persian would be lovely, and the pattern would hide any paw marks although wool is meant to dispel any dirt. I’m a bit limited on colour Options but also tried it in a yellow (I was after an F&BIndian yellow but couldn’t get the shade!) 6 years agoGood points about the drawers, I agree they would look better moved to the end of the run. Then perhaps I could have doors that open over the corner of the breakfast bar to improve access. Although I was going to have bins in that end cupboard so it might not work after all.
Currently considering scrapping the oven tower and maybe keeping our current freestanding oven (or getting a range if budget permits). I'm so indecisive and feeling the pressure as my husband just says yeah to everything I suggest without really thinking about it!
The breakfast bar is currently 113cm plus any overhang so I can't work out of pendant lights would look a bit cramped over it? If so, perhaps just one central pendant light with spotlights. I quite like a more vintage style. I'll be keeping my green delonghi kettle and toaster so will try and work in colour to blend.
