Ideas for children's playroom
Comments (12)Hi there, This is definitely a space with potential! A rug would be a nice addition - you can pick up some really fun prints, and they're great for little ones who are likely to be sprawling on the floor. The idea of wall stickers is also a great one - especially with children's fickle tastes, as they're so easy and inexpensive to change. Also, for a real homely feel, we'd recommend curtains or a Roman blind. We even have a children's range of fabrics, which would really add an element of fun to the space. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the space! Zoe...See MoreRoman blind positioning
Comments (8)Sorry for the late reply - busy run up to Christmas! Thank you for all your comments & advice. Interesting to see the different pictures - not only for heights but also different fabrics for blinds & curtains within the same room - I was going to match mine. I'm going to go with the blind outside the recess & match height with curtains. However, I can now see that in my hallway a recessed blind would look best. Thanks again....See MoreTricky blinds or curtains
Comments (34)Carolina I didn't knew these even existed! Might be a good solution (and cheap). Thanks! SHADES INTERIORS I really appreciate the time you took with all your explanations. I can fit the blinds myself (i did it before, easy!). Would you be able to provide the blind bigger than the rail, then? And would you consider providing the system that Victoria is proposing? That system looks ideal to me, because being slim-line, the gap between the window size and the panels at the side would be much smaller. Is there any email I can contact you at? Victoria You are amazing! May I ask if you are a provider or just do these for yourself? So glad to see knowledgeable people around willing to help! :D Jonathan may I ask for a picture of your shutters? How much did you pay for the job, if it's not too much to ask? Cheers!...See MoreBedroom windows!
Comments (4)I think you have a few options. 1)You could have these curtains remade into Roman Blinds. 2) You could have matching/coordinating Roman Blinds made for the recess and then have the existing curtains remade as dress curtains. You would have to get each curtain split down the middle and re-stitched. For an idea of cost I know our local dry cleaner does this for £10 per linear metre. This would obviously halve the bulk of each curtain. 3) You could buy another pair of curtains, but you then have to face the possibility that the curtain colour won't actually match exactly because of different fabric batches. Also you say that there may not be enough room for all that fabric at the sides....See MoreSonia
