Comments (5)nice house. where is it? i would start with a floor plan (measure the exterior and interior space and include window locations and heights) and then draw it up. then i would add a roof plan (draw the ridges, valleys and eaves on a piece of paper over the floor plan). then you want to get up into the attic space (if any) and find out if the roof rafters are bearing on any of the interior walls. this will let you know which walls are structural and which are simply partition walls (no structure on top of them). a floor plan will help others advise you about flow. if you want to knock down a bearing wall you will have to put in a column support or a structural header. 150 sq. m would be 1350 s.f. for U.S. posters. maybe there is an architecture student in your area that can help get it organized? it would be a good project for them......See MoreGround floor bungalow floor plan design
Comments (5)This looks great. Just a couple of points- the relaxing area seems to look out to the driveway- so either you will have a poor view or you will feel overlooked. Perhaps the relaxing room would be better looking into the internal courtyard where there will be no distractions. There is nowhere shown to do laundry. I don't understand why you would put two sitting areas in the same room - if they are for different purposes perhaps they should be in different parts of the house. The stairs may be dark without a window. You should also consider your window placement and what outside space there is, the privacy and the heat of the sun. In my opinion the solid wall in the gathering area hides where I assume the garden is so I think the plot may feel smaller. I worry that the impressive dining window may make that area too hot. I hope this helps and remember this is just opinion- you have your house how you want it....See MoreHelp with Reconfiguring a Bungalow Floor Plan

Comments (7)I think your entry is the point which will need the greatest rethink. My first observation is that it is brown, yet your window frames are white so that leads me to think that white needs to come into the framing here and an alternative door style and color would give the front a lift. The front is a modern flat style, not a red brick cottage with period brick detail so the victoriana door style is not complimenting the house. A more modern style door, which could be a natural wood or a modern sagey green color, could bring out the horizontal play in the windows. Once the entry has been sorted, work on your landscaping. Going in a modernist style doesn't have to be jarring, but working in straight lines over the current curvy garden path might fit better....See MoreJonathan
