who supplied the Crittall styled glass partitions

We are getting ready to refurbish a 1860s flat and converting it from a 2 bedroom to 1 to help maximise the sense of space we are intending to install a Crittall style partition and the costs are of the scale,
We are seeing more and more of these partitions so I have concluded that someone else is supplying these frames.

I believe that they were supplied by Clement Windows, through the builder. Good luck with your project.

Hi Alan, we used the same doors from for our little study. After the decorator had painted them & we removed the protective film from the glass we saw that the paint had bled into the inner frame. Unfortunately there is no way to remove the glass to paint the inner frame so that section will always remain untreated & ours looks worse because of the paint bleeding. Such a shame because from afar the doors look great....just don’t inspect them too closely! When we queried it with the decorator he said the film was there to protect painting errors whereas the big shed said it was there solely to protect the glass & that the decorator had used too much paint on the brush. Argh....

Glass partition between hall and living room - must be fireproof

We'll have a "broken plan" layout between the kitchen and living room, so I think the reason for the partition to the hall needing to be fireproof is because of the kitchen. If you imagine a rectangle divided into quarters, the hall is in the bottom left. and it has a normal fire door to the kitchen in the top left. But the kitchen is semi-open to a dining area in the top right, and that's semi-open to the living room in the bottom right. I think in order to stop any chance of fire spreading from the kitchen to the hall we need to have a fireproof boundary between the living room and hall. Thanks for letting me know how much your wood partition cost. That's certainly an option. I take it that the wood is fireproof?
