Reception/Living room - small space (6'9" X 11') possible ?
Comments (9)Hi. I really don't want to be negative at this exciting time but these are just my personal opinions so could well be wrong. I wouldn't remove a bath from a 3 bed house for resale purposes. If you put in a guest loo, where will guests bath/shower? People generally don't want to traipse through someone's bedroom. Also I agree the wc on the ground floor looks a waste of space but you don't want to traipse 2 flights of stairs to go to the loo. The idea of the 7ft room I just think again is a no go for resale. You seem very against open plan but it is a good use of space. I would personally remove the stud wall on the 1st floor and have an open plan lounge diner which will be perfect for entertaining if you don't need a 3rd bed. The wall can be put back for little cost when it comes to sell. In terms of the2nd floor,if you can make use of the closet space then I would have a long thin jack and Jill bathroom. Push back the existing cupboards in the master, take them over the top of the door and have a fake door through to the bathroom if you really want access from the bedroom. In terms of the kitchen, maybe consider a portable island if you need more space or just add a sofa and coffee table or something with bar stools but basically a seating arrangement that will encourage you to entertain upstairs although I appreciate everyone will congregate in the kitchen initially! Others hopefully will have much more positive ideas on what was a sunny Friday!...See MoreHow to style a tiny bed room that is so small like a office
Comments (3)Hello, If she is a teenager already I would suggest you to decorate the bedroom according to her age and don't make it look too childish. You could consider decorating it nicely, I actually collected some pictures to show you what I was thinking about. Despite the fact that is a small room, it's always nice to interact with the surrounding and engaging the eyes with some ornaments, wall art, colourful images, posters, etc. Wallpaper could look very pretty too, but something more sophisticated, with some stylish/elegant pattern. Why not add some mirror/s to make the space look bigger and brighter? Creating a feature wall is also a great idea, covered in a different colour or just in wallpaper. The chandelier could be the outstanding piece of the bedroom. Furniture: I pretty much like the style of this bed, perhaps you can find something similar to this. It's single size that could fit in and it has a different look of the others. Good luck with your project! StJames Design Interiors...See MoreSmall guest bedroom
Comments (15)Hi James, Here are a few our sample swatches of prints that would look great in your room. Having looked at your window and sofa bed I would suggest one of the following options; First of all our award winning Bloc Fabric Changer Roller Blind [our unique design allows you to clip on and clip off so that you can change your look in an instant without changing the mechanism.] Secondly if you desire total black out in your bedroom our Bloc Out Blinds offer total darkness, unrivaled by other blind designs currently on the market with the added bonus of increased heat retention. Comments (3)While I appreciate the need for space for the monitors, in the above design, given the width of room 2m, the average desk depth 50cm and chair around 50-60cm, you will find yourself squeezing to get into the room towards the door. A 2m length desk is way more than enough for all your monitors and laptops. are you a day trader with so many screens? Can I assume that the monitors will be used together therefore stuck next to each other? I would scrap the L shape, go for full length floating desk as per the above design. Your back to the TV, stretch when tired and you can look into the garden without being too distracted by it. Dog in the corner under the floating desk to the right. Drawers on castors to the left. Will need to send a design across for the sofa and TV....See Moremcpeeple
