Wireless home automation

I am looking for thoughts on systems that allow for wireless home automation. It seems that there are some systems like Somfy's Tahoma and Fibaro that do not need dedicated wiring and therefore are much simpler and cheaper to install. But are they as good as the traditional wired options such as Lutron, etc?
